Parish Nurse, Bobbie Reeves
I have been a Parish Nurse at Fauntleroy Church since 2002.
I am a registered nurse, graduating from the University of Washington in 1973. I have worked at Providence Medical Center and many years in public health nursing with the King County Public Health Department. As a Parish Nurse, I believe that the journey towards well being is more than just medicine and medical practice. It also involves the integration of physical, psychological, and spiritual factors.
I serve as a resource to our pastors and our Caring Ministry group leaders as they walk with members through illness, hospitalizations, medical procedures or other concerns. I also try to provide various educational programs for the church that are aimed at promoting health and disease prevention. As a Parish Nurse, I do not do traditional nursing care such as changing dressings or giving injections, but I can assist you to find the resources that may help.
I am a life-long Fauntleroy community resident and have been a member of Fauntleroy Church since 1989. I have been married to my husband Jay for many years and we have two grown children. My husband and I enjoy traveling, snow skiing, golfing, Husky football games and Mariner baseball games.
Serving as a Parish Nurse at Fauntleroy Church has been both an honor and a privilege for me.
