Youth Leader, Jay Briggs
The Christian Education Search Committee received more than 18 applications for the position of Youth leader. After 6 excellent interviews, the committee, along with eight youth and our new Christian Educator, Karyn Frazier selected Jay Briggs are our new youth leader.
Jay brings lots of energy and skill to his new position. He has been involved with young people through the medium of theater over the last few years. He had directed plays and through the Cornerstone Foundation has developed theater as a medium for social change and the creation of community. He and his wife, Amanda just arrived in Seattle where Jay will be studying the interface between Creative Arts and Theology at the Seattle graduate School of theology and Psychology in Belltown. Jay graduated from Elon College in Greenville, North Carolina. Jay will be at his 10 hour per week job by September 1st.
