Social Groups

Social groups are a great way to bring people together, foster relationships, and create that all-important sense of belonging to a community. These small groups form around shared interests or age/stage of life, then new groups form when interests change. Following are current social groups for adults; Sunday school classes, service projects, and social activities meet similar needs of our children and youth.

Crock Pots: This fellowship group attracts 30- and 40-somethings, give or take a decade, and meets the third Saturday evening of each month for a potluck meal, usually in a private home. The group welcomes singles and couples, those with children and those without. The church offers child care for parents who want to bring their children along. Contact the church office to be added to the Evite list for this group.

Sojourners: A social/educational/sometimes-action group for all ages, Sojourners meets the first Sunday evening of the month for a potluck meal in a private home. Discussions led by participants or special guests explore the intersection of faith with timely topics. Contact the church office to be added to the Evite list for this group.

Sisters: These intergenerational groups of women foster some of the strongest ties within the congregation. They meet twice a month at the church or in private homes to discuss books, ideas, and the events and relationships that deeply affect women’s lives. Contact the church office about joining a morning or evening Sisters group that is welcoming more participants. If you don’t find a good fit, reach out to other women about starting a new group!
